The Boxing thread

Prince could train all he wants. Barrera beats him anyway.
I don't think he would. Prince just didn't have the motivation towards the end of his career, once you lose that you're done with boxing he just fought for the money.

Well anyone saying his skill is the difference take note... Kell clearly the more skillful fighter, GGG the more powerful and his chin is immense. Don't get me wrong his technique and positioning is great but there's parts to his game(defense, head movement etc) which aren't top of his class

Still I'll be surprised if Brook doesn't get caught with something big.

I think his defence and head movement are not something he overly worried about because he knows his chin is granite and he won't be going down. I've seen him take some huge shots and they hardly register. He is a machine.

GGG is just a KO machine. Kell is out for a few months now with the injury. I think it was always a mis match. Kell v Khan might now happen another big pay day for Kell and Khan. I think Kell will have enough to beat Khan.
It was a bad night for Matchroom. Charlie Edwards got KOd for the Philpino fighter he is a class act. Haskins beating Hall too it was good night of boxing hopefully. Haskins v McDonald is made in a unification fight in Bantamweight be great for both fighters.

Can't see Khan agreeing to fight Brook, he has far too much to lose. If he loses that then his ability to continuously get big paydays against big names probably dry up and I think it's far too close a fight for him to gamble on unless he has no other options. Instead they both went for the no risk big paydays against fighters who no one expects them to beat, so I'd imagine they won't meet each other until all other pay days have dried up. Maybe I'm just being miserable though as it does seem that any fight people want to happen has to avoided at all costs by boxers these days

Down to 154 now for Kell. Some good domestic scraps with Smith and Williams, and a real chance to pick up a belt if Andrade, Lara and the Charlos are moving up to 160 like rumored.

Kell gave a good account of himself and took some big shots but Golovkins power and constant pressure took its toll on him. If Ingle hadn't of thrown in the towel then he would of been stopped a couple of rounds later anyway.

Sky's pundits saying Brook exposed Golovkin is making me laugh. GGG gets hit in every fight. Abel Sanchez and Tom Loeffler basically said in the post fight press conference that Golovkin needs to appear to be human so they can get fights in the future.
