What a strange night at the boxing ruined by the cut and all the warriors fighting in the crowd.

Thought Quigg was looking very good and I reckon Munroe is starting to slide but the cut put paid to that.

Shame for Ryan Rhodes thought he looked a class above all night but I had a rubbish view for the K/o punch.
Was that you and the Wheelchair Soprano Crew slapping the youngsters into shape upstairs?
Only caught the latter part of Martin Murray's bout mate, looked like he won handily enough against a game lad.

Yeah mate we were up in the cheap seats and it was bedlam, nasty way to end the night mate.
Some serious warriors up there funnily enough nobody wanted any trouble with the Wheelchair Soprano Crew. The security was awful some fat bloke(bigger than me) runs up the cycle track jumps into the seats and flattens someone yet the security were knowhere to be seen.

Martin Murray comfortable enough mate looked understandably rusty but you were right the French bloke was game to say the least.

The Towers fight looked like a battle between two fighters who will have very short careers!
What was that ref on? That fight could have been stopped on numerous occasions I dread to think what Price and Fury would do to Towers.

Shame about the cuts mate as Quigg looked good from where I was.
Thought Towers could and maybe should've been stopped in the fifth, must've taken 20 shots without reply. If it was the visitor rather than the house fighter on the receiving end, I think he would've stepped in.
A great fun fight, though. Might be on Ringside on Sky on Thursday

A nasty cut for Rendal who controled the first round at ease. Second round Quigg was on his fucking bike and picked Munroe off at times. 3 round started ok until the clash of heads still think Munroe would of won wide on points last night.

Quigg v Munroe to happen late September or early October. Should be a good fight just hope Hatton can get Sky on board to show it.

As for Andy Lee controled the first 2 rounds. Chavez jnr looked a beast and closed him down a good stopage for Chavez jnr and hopefully he will step up to fight Marthinez. I think Andy will come back stronger after this fight he cant afford another defeat but will get some more fights in the US as he is decent to watch. Expect Lee v Macklin soon.

I know it's different watching a fight on TV to live but I am confident that Quigg is to fast for Munroe.

Hopefully get a rematch on soon.

Kev I know its different but watching it at home Munroe controlled the first round well. Second Quigg was on his bike didnt seem to me he wanted to trade after the first round and picked Munroe off. You see Frampton at ringside the lads a legend think the Martinez fight will be sorted soon as well.

The only bad thing I have to say about Munroe is he changed his ringwalk not happy love his old 1 with Jamming. Also his fans he brings to the fights are brilliant people. Always making noise non stop. Remember his fight in Dublin and he brought nearly 30 - 40 fans with him in there high vis jackects decent people who had a lot of good to say about Munroe.

Leighton we will agree to disagree mate I have nothing but respect for Munroe.
However a lot of his followers behaved appalling yesterday as did a fair amount of Quigg followers no place in boxing for that.

Just watched the Towers fight again that ref should not be allowed in a ring again.

such a shame the fight ended the way it did, that cut looks very nasty and i hope Munroe's career isn't too badly affected by it. i thought Quigg was just starting to move about the ring nicely whilst picking Munroe off with some decent shots without getting too much hassle from Munroe,Quigg looked too quick for Munroe who i think would of worn himself out chasing Quigg but getting caught in the process, unfortunately we will never know! lets hope they have a re-match and find out who is the better boxer.Lets hope the lad in the crowd who fell down the stairs after being smacked recovers quickly from his injuries

Sorry leighton, but a large proportion of Munroe's fans were cunts. Three-pint warriors and sted heds in women's T-shirts and orange faces.
Spoke to a few people now and all told me that it was the Leicester fans who started the trouble inside, thinking their man had lost when the fight was stopped, but they largely came off second best.
Anyone know if there were any serious injuries?
There were then a few more skirmishes outside, though it was pissing down by then and rain is better than any copper.
I don't think they should be allowed to use that venue for boxing again. The security was feeble and the track made getting bouncers up there more difficult than it should have been.
I have a lot of time for both fighters bit I think Quigg would've won. Munroe is a great fighter but I think Quigg's speed, workrate and superior defence would have had Rendall breathing out of his arse in the final third of the fight, had it gone on that long.
Hope there is a rematch — at a better venue

i was downstairs and saw the lad get dropped and fall down the steps, must of fuckin hurt that!!!
I was speaking to a lot of Munroes fans and the majority were ok, but must say there was a nasty feeling inside the venue(which was piss poor imo, security was wank)...
After the fight had been stopped, i was on the coach back to bury and a taxi hit us!!! haha eventfull evening so it was on Sat..
re match= scott on points nailed on....

I forgot to mention that I was sitting directly behind Paddy Crerand at the fight.
When it kicked off in the crowd, I was sorely tempted to take advantage of the confusion and give him a slap on the back of the head, sleeping shitbag style

You have gone down in my estimations and the offer of honourary membership in the Wheelchair Soprano Crew has been withdrawn.

Lads I can only go by my experience with the Munroe fans in Dublin that night and they were a good bunch must of had give or take 30 to 40 fans there and it was the week before Xmas aswell.

As we all know if we go to fights live there are ocassions when it gets nasty at them. It happens. I remember there was hassle at the last world title fight i was at Wille Casey v Rigondeaux the travellers at it were trying to rob seats off people and the atmosphere in the crowd was shit. Even going to loos there were people looking to fight which is fucked up. It depends on the promotor on the security side. The Brian Peters fights I have been at all went ahead and there was no troble at them. Just people out to have a good time watching the fights.

Regarding a rematch Munroe will win it. Quigg isnt all that good. I would be interested in seeing who they get to fight him while they are waiting on Munroes cut to heal up. Frampton is off limits as he will be fighting Martinez. Hatton needs to put him in there with a test. I look over here and I would say a fight with Willie Big Bang Casey could be made and wouldnt be a major risk of a fight to take. Casey is game but if Quigg wants to go were he wants to be he should be beating Casey easy if it happens.

leighton, you're falling into your old trap again, where if you prefer one athlete (Frampton) then you automatically trash talk his rival (Quigg). We had this all before with Given and Hart.
Just because you think one fella is better, it doesn't mean the other man is useless.

I will admit it when he fights a real threat. The fight with Frampton was offered last year and his team turned it down. So he could of boxed better fighters. Munroe will win the rematch not slating Quigg just dont think he is as good as you lot think he is.

LADS put on Sky now and the watch the boxing 2 great fights from the US last night have a look if you have nothing to do. I wont spoil it.

Big 1 tonight love Kell Brook fighting on Sky Sports tonight think his ringwalk is around 10 tonight. Win tonight and it could set up a World title fight. Kell is so classy and can bang a bit. A night of Boxing and MMA for me.

Carson's in good nick and well up for it, could be dangerous here, Brook's a huge favourite according to the bookies, so much so I'd say it's a bit disrespectful to Carson, should be good.

Im not going to say Kell is going to win it easy but I think Kell is above Carsons level and will come out on top. The cards not half bad either. Its a good end for matchroom for a few months. I know they have a big card planed for Belfast with maybe 3 of Frampton . McCloskey and Lindsey all on the bill which would be great to see with 2 title fights with Frampton fighting European and Lindsey British title fights and McCloskey fighting a decent fighter.
