That's was a tough way to lose after boxing well. Smith looked like he was getting on top so he might have won anyway but that wasn't a way to do it and Williams is a very tidy boxer, would like to see them go again.

Yep, shame it had to end as it did, I was enjoying the contest. Thought Smith was humble enough regarding the weight, knows he fucked up big time and seems willing to put it right.

Sure I could hear a couple of loud renditions of 'You scouse bastards' ringing around the arena, love it..

Fair play to Lockett for pulling his fighter out , Shane Mcguigan take note! although Williams was slightly ahead i think Smith would have finished stronger. I think Smith caused the cut with his head also.

Pleased for turbo though not at his best, Petrov is a tough kid. Gutted for Williams, had him up by a couple but that looked a nasty cut and needed stopping, both need to go again at some point. Thought Zelfa looked the part, another impressive display.

Lomachenko again showed his class, great to watch.

I was relocated from a cheap seat to a £100 seat as my area was closed off. Almost deserted by the end.

Williams will come back from this one. I hope he destroys Smith in the rematch.

Some cracking fights last night at the Arena. The boxing wasn't too bad either.

Was in 106 amongst a sizeable contingent of Welsh fans so was bang in the thick of it when they and the scousers went toe-to-toe. Was booting off all over the place - went off on the floor first and spread to other areas. The police cleared the best part of a full block and then some bloke got sparked out on the concourse. And much later on in the latter part of the Flanagan fight when I assumed all the Welsh and dippers had long since fucked off, it went off again in the far corner with stewards legging it over there from all corners of the arena.

Flanagan will be in trouble if Loma goes up to 135, the guy is on a different level. Terry needs to up his game and start listening to his trainer, he was far too static last night and Petrov was tagging him for fun due to lack of head movement and stepping back instead of side to side. I also think Garcia would also beat Flanagan . I like the lad obviously, but he won't keep the belt for long imo.
