The Boxing thread

happens a lot at boxing for that reason, can see the haye / bellew fight being a massive brawl at the O2 as everton play spurs away that same weekend

It's a white collar show rather than a proper amateur or pro event. They can be hit and miss when it comes to violence outside of the ring. I had a few white collar bouts in south Wales (boxing/kickboxing shows rather than those ones where they train you for 12 weeks just to say you've had a fight). First one was fine, 2nd one was our home show and no hint of violence but the 3rd was in Neath and there was more going on outside the ring than in it. Someone started on my mate in the toilets before my fight, someone tried to jump in the ring mid-fight, guys kicking off in the toilets, and after my fight i went to the bar for a pint and 2 blokes proper went at it.

In my experience of pro shows too it's been unfortunately people from the North (Manchester in particular) that have been a nightmare for violence in the crowd and generally getting Leary.
 
Quiggs move to the Wildcard. Fare fucks to him. Not too sure it will make much of a difference if he is staying to fight at Featherweight. I think Roach will maybe get him back down to Super Bamtamweight again. The sparring out there will be competitive for some it works out well for others not too good. Maybe staying out there and fighting out there might get him a big fight.
As for the Watson stuff its terrible to hear that.

Those rumours are ridiculous mate, not the idea of PEDs but that gynecomastia would effect just his nipple area, it's a non starter in that regard!
 
Trying to organise my tickets for the Flanagan fight. It says special promotion for City season ticket holders but asking for a code. Does anyone know one? I want to take my 9 year old and its £114 for 2 tickets on tier 1 and they're one of cheapest!!

Certainly wouldn't advise taking a 9 year old pal.
