Close but Galahad for me
Yeah I was sad for him becuase he really did his homework and stifled the life out of Warrington.I had Kid 6-5-1 but three or four of the rounds were close. I thought maybe a draw or Josh by a round but 116-112 was a disgrace.
Kid’s defense was immense and he rode most of the big shots from a Warrington. He probably didn’t quite do enough himself to take the belt on away soil but he showed what a class fighter he is.
Another decision that discredits boxing, you could count on one hand the decent scoring shots Warrington landed.

But unfortunately (at least from what I saw) the only times he threw anything decent Warrington landed a few punches of his own, and the other rounds were just clinch-fests where neither guy did enough to swing it.
I reckon the judges that scored it to Warrington weren't enthused by the holding, but I'm not sure that should matter of course.
I agree he should have been deducted a point for holding but he wasn't so it didn't alter the scoring.Galahad should have been deducted points for holding and use of the head so hardly a discredit to boxing. It was a close fight and the judges went for the aggressor. I was at ringside so I had a good view. Galahad did have a few cleaner shot but he never followed them up and was intent on spoiling.

On the aggression point Warrington normally is a very aggressive fighter but he was unable to show it other than a handful of ten second bursts here and there.
I struggle to recall seeing many fights where someone has missed with so many punches.
I'd like to see his punches thrown and landed stats.
At ringside you obviously had a different view and I know it can change the perception of a fight,so perhaps the judges saw it similar to yourself.
The crowd noise level pre and during the fight told it's own story. Thanks rabby. I also think that in a close fight away at the Champs home city, the challenger has to do that bit more.
I thought Josh was trying to do too many hooks that Galahad swayed or ducked underneath with increasing ease as the fight went on. I felt Josh should have thrown more and sharper jabs and straight right hands to stop Galahad as he moved forward to clinch.
Warrington has admitted he was below par and a lot of credit goes to Galahad for his defensive abilities.
