You misunderstand me; I’m not saying they shouldn’t be exposed, I just don’t think it’s going to get them anywhere. Boxing has stories like this going many many years; sometimes it’s been corruption from within the sport and sometimes it’s been just plain incompetence. I just don’t think in this instance that reporting the result to the police will get them anywhere.
I used Hagler as an example because he was shafted against Vito Antuofermo and made sure he wouldn’t give corrupt/incompetent judges the chance to do it again. (It’s ironically also why he quit after the Leonard fight which he felt he’d won.)
Agreed, the corruption is global, we might make progress within this instance.
