The Boxing thread

Lara would have been robbed if he didn't KO him. Another year will help Lara it won't help Wood. There is no merit in the contract rematch or Warrington again.

Very dangerous fight for Wood to have taken and it's rebounded on him.
Couple more fights and gone should be his plan so needs to cash in his chips.

I was there last night, as daft as it sounds Lara had no interest in boxing him almost like he knew it didn’t matter if he was miles behind, he’s got that much confidence in his power and rightly so.

He beats Warrington & Wood on the same night and I really hope Wood stays away from the rematch too and they fight eachother.

Conlan will be beat Lopez win the world title and fight Wood/Warrington in Belfast for a payday I think, I was there against Wood and watching Conlan live was like art such a great boxer and was so unlucky to get beat in the manner he did.

6 seconds left in the round, that should be the last time he puts money in Ben Davison pocket.

Can't believe this Tommy Fury fight this coming weekend is Box Office!

Are there any other decent bouts on the card?

Seems any fight that briefly catches any interest is straight on PPV nowadays!

Jack is fighting the guy who lost to Bellew at Goodison at CW for a world title, but such a low key fight you can't bet on it yet. Jack was best at 168 and I don't expect him to win at 200lbs.

I agree mate. You can just tell his body won't be up to it at that weight.

Worth a watch, but maybe a stream!

Is there some.easy money available on Sunday?

Tommy Fury to win - 13/10?

Or if your cynical - draw 14/1?

The two reality fuckers are earning easy money. Get your money on the rediculous that will drive an instant re match. Clash of heads, intruder in the ring, alien invasion...... take your pick.

Neither are really pro boxers. Fury's are hand picked e.g. some old guy who has lost 113 fights.

A bit like the vanity boxer who invaded the pitch, there are people who box every week to lose and earn a few quid, and all they bother about is not getting KO'd as it stops them boxing for 7 days, so rules out the next Saturday.

Not into youtube boxing, but boxing would be in a much better place if 6-0 and 8-0 novices fought each other more often rather than worrying about the marketability of the 0. Backed a draw at 10/1 after the clips on social media from the press conference yesterday

From what I've seen, I'll be backing Tommy Fury. Jake Paul has only fought non-boxers and not really been that good, Anderson Silva took him all 8 rounds and he's a 47 year old retired MMA fighter. Fury needs to win otherwise his career is over. Jake Paul being favourite is ridiculous, make some easy money and back Fury KO/TKO.

I can't believe these odds. I expected Tommy Fury to be short odds on favourite at around 1/10
100% Agree.

Absolutely zero chance Jake Paul wins this fight. I put £50 on Lara on Saturday to win rounds 7-9 @5/1.

All my winnings will be going on Fury.

Reminds of the time Mayweather v McGregor. People genuinely thought McGregor could beat Mayweather! Mayweather was silly odds in the bookies I lobbed on Mayweather that night and I'll be doing the same on Sunday.

Crazy to think they have Jake Paul as favourite. Don't get me wrong, Fury isn't any world beater by any means but he's a hell of a lot better than Jake Paul ffs.

7/5 or 2.42 for Fury on betfair, should be easy money really but both are dogshit and won't amount to anything in Boxing.

I just don't trust this is a genuine fight. The money they're making is absurd considering both are shite. A close fight that brings a re-match and even more money is in the interests of both. Fury isn't ever going to make it as a pro, and why not make big dosh fighting youtubers instead of risking your life getting hit by proper boxers anyway.

Draw this one. Both claim they won it. Build hype for a re-match.
