The Boxing thread

Hard to get excited about this. Its pretty clearly a vehicle to get a third fight in the summer as a nice big earner for both boxers and the dodgy cockney promoters and sell it as a decider best of 3 type thing

Beauty of this then is that I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised this evening.

I'll be the first to apologise if I am proven to be incorrect.......... :-)

First one was an interesting fight. Looking forward to this. Tyson coming in heavier is interesting and the right move for me but still not sure if it's enough.

It does not really make sense for them to be having dubious results while they are establishing themselves as the major player in boxing.
It will be interesting to find out how much their return is for their investment. I think they are playing the long game.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of any robberies so far, in the events from Saudi.
I had Bivol winning against Beterbiev. But I don't think it was a robbery.

I don't think it makes any sense for Fury either. If it was purely just a financial thing, it would make more sense for him to fight Joshua. There is more money in that, than in any fight against Usyk.

I will be gobsmacked if tonight is a set up.

Fury has put all his eggs in one basket going in at that weight, He's on the decline since his Wilder fights along with his age, Now he's going in top heavy...He needs to stop Usyk the first 6 Rounds, If not, Usyk will get a stoppage.

Come On Usky!

He was fully clothed and it wouldn't surprise me if he had some weights in his pockets. Thought he was struggling with the pace last time, so think he'll be a fair bit lighter than his weigh in weight.

Usyk doesn't let you have a break and is constantly making you work. So unless he ties him up in clinches and leans on him regularly I can't understand the benefit of him coming in substantially heavier.

By his Excellency Turkey Sacks standards this is a very underwhelming undercard.

Fury vs Usyk will be the same as the first fight, only this time Fury wins on points and we go again in the summer 25
