His opponent James Toney (not the real one, haha) had an eye problem. They offered the fight to Prizefighter winner Patrick Mendy, but he declined, as he would have had only 2 days to prepare.

Groves should beat Anderson fairly easily. Late stoppage i think.
Ono do you know if they've found a replacement for Pavlik on the Pacquiao undercard?

The fight got called off. From the Irish boxing jurnos that I know. Andy Lee came out straight away to step in for Pavlik as soon as he heard he was out of the fight. Vera stopped Lee and it seemed a bit controversal to me as Lee was throwing punches at the time. Lee wanted this fight big time but Vera doesnt want anything to do with Andy Lee who has been very active over the last few months. Lee is hopefull now of getting on the German Bill on the undercard of the Del Boy v Klitschko fight and I am almost certain that he will get a fight. He could end up fighting Duddy on Paddys week in either New York or Boston next year aswell.

Great atmosphere at the weigh in yesterday. Surprisingly, Audley seemed to have the better support! Managed to meet George Groves and Steve Bunce, both seemed like down to earth blokes. Also met Shadeed Suluki (Audley's trainer) with his entourage outside it, can't say he looked that confident haha.

-- 13 Nov 2010, 09:49 --

Pac weighed in at 144 haha, yet he gets to fight for the 154 title. Ah well, Margarito will have a massive weight advantage tonight.

Buncey seems a nice bloke he often read out a couple of emails of mine on Setanta boxing coverage then he would reply to them during the week not many people would do what he does. Also his book may well be worth a look at.

Met Bunce a few times and he's a top fella, always has time for people and has some great anecdotes about fighters away from the ring. His novel
The Fixer is a great read, set against the backdrop of a Hatton fight in Vegas and taking in boxing corruption, the Mob, Manchester gangsters, East End wideboys, possibly true stories about fight game characters and the seedy underbelly of Blackpool. Great stuff and not all fiction, as his lawyers have ordered him to insist ...

George stepped up to the plate. The lad has the heart he showed there. I honestly thought Adam Booth was going to pull him out but if he listens to Booth he will go a long long way. I think Booth is a very good trainer and will iron out the flaws. I think in a way because both are on the same bill I think Booths time was taken up by Haye for his fight with Audley. I want to see Groves v DeGale. I think DeGale may well get blasted out in his next fight against Paul Smith and at odds of 7/2 for Smith to win I will more than likely get on that closer to the fight.
Great to see Baz back on Sky one of the better pundits on the boxing. I hope in the Pacman fight latter they get the Pocket Rocket like they used to years ago as they are top notch and know there stuff.

I agree Leighton Barry is a top man as is Jonny Nelson IMO.

You should see the kid Barry has at Super Bantamweight in the next few years he is going to be a huge fighter the best thing to come from Ireland that I have seen in a long long time Carl Frampton the lad has power and can box a speical talent that could well make it all the way to the top.
