oh dear oh dear oh dear

Matthysse is some puncher and they are calling him the Argentine Paquaio well I think he has more power than Manny has ever had. Khan gets sparked out. I can see Matthysse going for a fight with Devon Alexander as they both boxed on the same bill next. Then the Money fight. Saying that I wouldnt be shocked if he got the Money fight now after that preformance.

I just came across this story about Tim "The Doughboy" Tomashek. I ran into him in Ireland in the 90's and ended up drinking a fair amount of Jack Daniels with him and his buddy. I had met a girl who was smoking hot earlier in the evening and he pulled her aside and told her that I was a big TV star in America. I figured he was going to put the moves on her because I introduced him as a famous fighter but he ended up doing me a helluva favor.

He has more power than Pacquiao but I don't think you can really compare them, their styles are different.

Garcia will be next.

I'd be stunned if he got a Mayweather fight. Given that he is a live threat and all that.

conor what is your take on Mayweather as a fighter ? not how you rate him as a person or his approach to the sport, just as a fighter, if he fought Pac in their primes or if he fought what you would consider a live fighter what do you think the outcome would be ? not trying to start a debate or being funny but you obviously like your boxing so interested in your take on it

Conor just think Money if he stays standing up would get a points win ala Alexander did over Matthysse. Matthysse has said he needs to KO people to get wins as he cant rely on getting the decision on the cards. Money may well box the head off him but it would be a great fight to see.
You dont rate Alexander either Conor or was that someone else. I look at the wins he had since Tim Bradley beat him and he has points wins over Matthysse and Maidana who have 62 KOs between them also even to some extent Randall Bailey who has 37 kos to his name too. I think Alexander is under rated and has boxed some good live treats apart from Bailey who was finished in my opionion. Also the fight with Kell Brook if it went on would of been him fighting 3 hard hitting bangers out of 4 fights. No wonder he was linked to a Money fight in my view.
I missed the Naz interview last night as well I hope they should it again after ringside tonight or over the weekend before the Froch fight with Kessler. I got a feeling Froch to win by KO but if it goes the distance something is saying for a Kessler win to me.

Purely on Boxing ability he's the most talented of his generation and I'd have him beating virtually anyone from the last 20 years at 147, which is why it annoys me when he doesn't take any risks. He puts himself out of contention to be rated amongst the all time best.

I think Floyd/Matthyse would be a good fight like you, I just don't think the fight will ever materialize.

Nah I don't rate Alexander and the decision he got over Matthyse was a joke, he was completely outclassed. Even the Kotelnik fight he was lucky to get away with the decision.

I watched the Naz interview. He was saying he was 2 stone overweight 8 weeks before the Barrera fight, then when he got to Vegas a couple of days before the fight he was still massively overweight so he had to get up in the middle of the night to train in the days before the fight.

i loved Naz but i dont think he would of beat Barrera anyway as i think he had started to slip before that fight, i know what he said in that interview but there is no way he was killing himself in training, look at the Carl Froch behind the ropes and see the shape hes in and how hard he trains, do you think Naz was doing that sort of stuff ? that was the first time i had heard the weight issue thing for the Barrera fight and will say i went over to Vegas for that one and the day before the fight walked past Naz in the hotel lobby and said to my mate "he looks ill"

There's no way he was training properly for the fight.

Just from this documentary it's obvious how seriously (or not) he's taking his training camp. At one point Emanuel Steward starts talking about how badly sparring is going.

Naz wasnt the same when he split from Brendan Ingle the 2 of them were great together. Ingle got the best out of Naz and had him training and at peak condition. Used to love watching Naz he was great maybe the greatest entertainer showman boxer of all time from the UK. 1 of the best ko artists from the UK should of went down as 1 of the best of all times. Sadly he lacked the heart to go on after that defeat to Barrera he was never the same its like he didnt want to know after that defeat. A great fighter used to love everything about Naz from his predictions to his ring walks and fighting style.
