Maybe a bit harsh, but hell he was huge, he should have been pushing Thompson round the ring and fighting behind his jab, what was he thinking.

Price came out with no gameplan whatsoever apart from throwing the kitchen sink at Thompson in the hopes of an early knockout. Then Frank Maloney blamed the loss on Lennox for some reason in his interview. Bizarre sequence of events.

Sounds a total disaster from start to finish, like you say no excuse for poor conditioning. Thats the end of the line now for price. Fair play to Thompson though proved it was no fluke and his interview sounds fuckin brilliant. Haye and Fury really need to get it sorted now, fancy Haye strongly and then he may get one last chance at a Klitscho. That division is getting worse.

Maloneys comments were absurd. Lewis's rematch wins against McCall & Rahman were clinical performances based on jabbing and throwing calculated rights. No way he'd tell Price to go gung ho. Price wasn't mentally right and Maloney said he ( Maloney ) didn't want the fight. Therefore he should blame himself not Lennox, he's supposed to be guiding Prices career anda maximizing his earnings.

To be fair Price will still bring in the crowds in Liverpool for domestic fights. Even if it is to watch him go life and death with the likes of Dereck Chisora.
