The British Monarchy

A simple solution (and surprisingly one the Tories have never thought of) is to privatise the royal family. Those that desire it can fund it. Those that don't can opt out. Then all the Yanks and Japanese tourists can pay a toll to get through a gate to walk or drive down the Mall and stand outside Buck Palace or Windsor etc.
It would be like Disneyland.
You could open up new theme parks around the world, with the franchise.
It is a new form of colonisation after all.

Camelot - near Chorley - lies empty, all the roller coaster fixtures still standing..... wouldn't take a lot to restore it.
Just guarantee one royal per week will be there at 1pm - 2pm on a float surrounded by court jesters and Baldrick style characters travelling through the park.

Prince Andrew can start to repay his £12m back by being full time selling candifloss...

I mean...who came up with these valuations?

Buckingham Palace and/or the land it's on would be worth literally billions alone.

She was the sole owner of The Crown Estates ltd, which owns the palace, but in an attempt to obfuscate the royal families wealth, people pretend she doesn't own Buckingham Palace.
The sovereign technically owns all land in the UK so there's a bit of an exception to be made here really.

If you own your house and have no-one to pass it onto after you die then it's returned to the crown/treasury who sells it.

The G4S Royal Family or The Royal Family brought to you by Interserve.

If people want to be proud of the strength and power that the British Empire had, arguably the strongest in human history, that's fine, i just prefer it if that pride isn't based on some ridiculous notion that we were also 'really nice'. We weren't. You don't get that much power by being nice, you get it by being ruthless.
Compared to other Empires we were ‘quite nice’.

It will cost about £450 million a year to heat.
