Must make a will, soon as just incase
People who die and have no living relatives and do not leave a will their money, property and possessions go to the Crown or the government. It has always been that, it is nothing new. That is why people are told to make a will.

Not a fucking penny of it should go to the crown. They should pay their own fucking way. Irrespective of whether a will has been written, they're not our family or our loved ones. b) by 'the Crown' they don't actually mean directly to Charlie himself but in practical terms it means 'the State'. So don't worry.
