The British Monarchy

Fair enough, you would have a minority view over here.

For me, I don't think it really matters to the ordinary person in the UK. You are either ruled by rich hereditary people or rich, politically motivated, power hungry people. The deciding factor for me is the history of the monarchy, I find it very interesting, and I wouldn't want to be a part of bringing it to an end.

And also, the "right to bear arms" is pretty antiquated too and doesn't belong in the 21st century, all countries have these anomalies, but I doubt that will be changing soon.
How do you know it's a minority view? I think most people think the royal family are scroungers and the whole system is outdated.

Fill yer boots with this data ...

Of course how this would end up in a national referendum who knows, maybe the youngsters would get out of bed and vote in that one.

Some could argue why do we all worship and cheer millionaire footballers during a time of economic despair for the country ?
Interesting analogy.

Firstly, fanaticism over a sport, and worshipping athletes who entertain week in week out, is safe in the realms of normality when compared to adoration of a privileged family of leeches that contribute nothing of civic value.

And footballers being millionaires is contextually irrelevant, because they earn what they play for. If Haaland is earning £1million a week in a few years time, then fair fucks, because he's grafted since infancy to get to the position he's in. He hasn't had troves of public money bestowed upon him since birth for no reason whatsoever.

You also need to remember any football fan that pays to watch their team are, of their own volition, paying their idols wages; they're not forced to do so.

Some people think that getting rid of the royal family would instantly solve all of their problems but it won't. For that you should be blaming the politicians that we elect and the political system.

Either way there isn't really any correlation between monarchies, republics and wellbeing. The best countries in the world to live in like Norway, Sweden or Denmark are all consitutional monarchies like our own. Having a royal family or not is clearly not a factor.

There is an argument on cost but I think it can be proven that the royal family brings in more to the UK than they take. I mean it isn't like we don't get decent value. The Queen was still working at 96 and Charles is still working with cancer at 75.

Nobody envies their goldfish bowl life either that's for sure. I'm not a royalist but I don't see why we should get rid of them unless this is yet another social justice type issue that must be put right for the sake of it...

I haven't reinforced anything. In fact, you've completely disregarded my point about head of states being elected.
because you disregarded my point that someone from a country who would choose Trump has the audacity to criticise another countries head of state
