The British Monarchy

Pondering tongue in cheek time.

I just wonder what we used to do when our store opening hours were Monday to Saturday 8 to 6 or 9 to 5. Wednesday half day closed and Sunday closed all day?
I think it was better without Sunday trading to be honest - people had a rest, families spent more time together.

Is there anything bought on a Sunday that couldn’t be bought on a Saturday?

I was waiting for that one - Newsagents were exempt from the earlier Sunday trading restrictions weren’t they?
If we were to do this, I’d advocate any company with a turnover of over £5m would be stopped from trading, allowing small businesses their day in the spotlight.

They could close another day where they’d be less busy.

I'd like Sheikh Mansour to buy up all the estates just so he can be accused of ruining Britain.

He is royalty so doesn't count as an undesirable. The ruler of Dubai stalks his own family but is welcomed with open arms. I was thinking of Russians and Chinese.
