The British Monarchy

Fair one, guess that's true. What puzzles me is many of the working class have an affinity with that family, when they're a gross representation of entitlement and class entrenchment.

I maintain the Queen was the only sense of normalcy withing that vile institution. Now she's gone I can see the veneer fading steadily. It speaks volumes that the most down-to-earth member, in Harry, has decided he wants nothing more to do with them henceforth.
I would be worried for the future of the monarchy if Harry really were the most down to earth member, but I would argue that he has a very tenuous link with reality now.

I wouldn't mind so much if the King had 1 fucking house.
All these Palaces, Castles, Stately Homes, incorporating thousands of rooms....thousands of acres of prime British countryside for one fucking family. How working class people think that's ok befuddles me.

These people have zero clue how normal people live, waiting for surgeries, paying mortgages, struggling to stay warm in winter on a housing estate.

How does the crown estate having thousands of rooms have any effect on the day to day life of a British person?

We get rid of the monarchy and all of a sudden John, 53 from Wakefield who's been waiting for a 2 bedroom council flat will all of a sudden get the Albert room at Balmoral?

If you think that's morally ok when there is so much poverty in the UK then ok, your opinion blah blah blah.

So much poverty in the UK? You have a lot to say about how the UK is when you are thousands of miles away.

I never said morally it was ok, that's a deflection because you can't answer the question. I said how does it effect the day to day life of a normal British person having thousands of rooms in Statley homes and castles gathering dust.

You want change because you are jealous, not because it will have any positive effect.

I am an average British person, on an average wage in an average 3 bedroom house. They could have 100,000 rooms with more spiders than people in them and i wouldn't swap positions.

Blah blah blah.

You’re right, the average British person won’t be worrying about how many rooms the palaces have.

They'll be worrying about paying their fuel bills, which go up in 2.5 weeks, with no time for Parliament to help us.

What level of communism would you be happy with so that wealthy people can live a life closer to the people who live on the street live?

We're all worrying about the fuel bills. Shall we have a go at KDB on £350,000 a week as well? He has a big Wilmslow mansion that has rooms going spare. In fact, if you got all the Premier League/Champions League footballers together and added up their spare rooms it would most likely match the Royal Family.

The Royal Family and Premier League footballers can't help the average British person.

Now if Bill was complaining about the Prime Minister and co all having thousands of rooms going spare then he would have a point as they are the people that can effect the average British person but as the topic is about the Royal Family he spectacularly misses the point again.

Someone must have not shook his hand once and i'm going for Princess Anne.

Have a go at who you like. Anybody can help anybody else out, regardless of who they are.

But you could bake some with the ingredients bought on the Saturday. And you shouldn’t eat too much bread anyway, so again no Sunday trading would be beneficial for our health.
Fair enough. I’m in.
So can we still go down the pub and watch the footie….
Or is everything closed and only matches at 3pm on a Saturday?

What has that got to do with communism?

One question at a time, please.

Same question, there are wealthy people in the capitalist system and in fact there are varying degrees of wealth.

You are wealthy compared to a certain percentage, what the crown has shouldn't be an issue.

What has this got to do with communism?

Something I have never advocated, yet you brought into the equation.
