One thing I really don't understand, Lizzie became Queen in 52, so why do people dress up in WW1 & WW2 fancy dress for all her jubblys.

Why ain't everyone dressing as teddy boys, beatniks and factory workers

Teddy boys didn’t appear here until about 1955.
