The Catholic Church and Homosexuality

The bible itself explicitly forbids homosexuality and Jesus said he completely agreed with the Old Testament in its entirety. It is therefore not possible to be both a Christian and to support homosexuality; anyone in that category needs to choose one or the other.
Or touch leather or eat pork etc etc as Leviticus states that as well. However most God botherers forget all of that.

There are no sides you monumental pleb, one is a genetic certainty, the other born in fiction FFs

I also see that you use the word 'anyone', as to distance your own opinion, which is as transparent as the post

Jesus can suck a million cocks down canal st for all those with brains could care, why? Because 'if' indeed this man existed, which is feasible to suggest, he, along with the other 12 in his crew were fundamentally wrong, #fact

A man, and that's all he ever was, who agrees with

Leviticus 20:13

" If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

And

19:19

“‘Ye shall keep My statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle breed with a diverse kind. Thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed; neither shall a garment mingled with linen and wool come upon thee."

All in the same chapter funny enough!!!!!
Ah you beat me to it. Apologies.

I think the last paragraph written with a hint of sarcasm and irony. The previous four pages were certainly an eyeopener but not that surprising when I thought about all the draconian rules that exist within the faith

Not a bad read, I'm glad it touched upon the healthcare sector, with Obama care so hidden in corruption, the Catholic Church now being associated is only good for exposure..... I tell you what, we'll close all out churches, declare bankruptcy in 80% of our diocese across the US because of historical CSE claims and reinvest in a new piece of legislation, ones our friends in the White House assures us will be a keeper.....

Like I said earlier, burn the fucking Vatican to the ground!!!!

The part that focused on the lies regarding contraception were wild. You wouldn't think in this day and age that there would be so many willing to put the worlds population at risk and not be immediately denounced by the powers that be !! Instead they are worshiped and revered by millions. It's all truly shocking

I remember telling you a while back that this was part of a research theory I'd been working on, the more you dig, the greater the revelation...... I'm astounded this corporation is still standing, not because of naivety from it's flock, mainly due to the actual levels of corruption it has perpetuated, today's church is arguably more inhumane than those it followed, how is that even possible in the modern world I'll never know!!!

It's all about power, greed and keeping the flock obedient. Religion is subjugation

As I recall, there's some bit of bother with eating periwinkles and other shell fish, too. It's a laugh a minute, is Leviticus.
Out of interest (& by no means a challengeor any such thing), ever read the Acts of the Apostles because that is a remarkable record - regardless of whether you believe or not. (I do, incidentally. Too much of a coward not to).

The Big Bang, which scientists believe led to the formation of the universe some 13.8billion years ago, was all part of God's plan, Pope Francis has declared.

The Pope said the scientific account of the beginning of the universe and the development of life through evolution are compatible with the Catholic Church's vision of creation.

He told a meeting of the Vatican's Pontifical Academy for Sciences: ‘The Big Bang, which today we hold to be the origin of the world, does not contradict the intervention of the divine creator but, rather, requires it.’

But he said Christians should reject the idea that world came into being by chance. Likewise, evolution was all part of God’s plan, he explained.
The development of each creature’s characteristics over millennia ‘does not contrast with the notion of creation because evolution presupposes the creation of beings that evolve,’ he said.

Reading Genesis we imagine that God is ‘a wizard with a magic wand’ capable of doing all things, he said.
‘But it is not so. He created life and let each creature develop according to the natural laws which he had given each one.’

Francis praised his predecessor, Benedict, who initiated attempts to shed the Catholic Church’s image of being anti-science, a label that stuck when it condemned the astronomer Galileo to death for teaching that the earth revolves around the sun.

The Catholic Church no longer teaches creationism - the belief that God created the world in six days - and says that the account in the book of Genesis is an allegory for the way God created the world.

Hailing the Pope Emeritus as a 'great pope', Francis spoke of Benedict's teaching, devotion and 'monastic life' in retirement as he unveiled a bronze bust of him in the academy.

'Benedict XVI: a great pope, great for the strength and penetration of his intelligence, great for his contribution to theology, great for his love of the church and all humans, great for his virtues and religiosity,' Francis said.

He almost had my respect until the last paragraph, then he goes on in his support of a known nonce sympathiser and all the good work is undone!!!

We're very close to the conclusive evidence re:evolution, the charm offensive, even though Paul II stated in 96 this was his feelings also, is in overdrive, something is afoot me thinks!!!!!
