Brazil played out of their skins tonight.

But Del Bosque got his team selection wrong.

Mata and Torres should not have started. It really is incredible that Torres is in the Spanish national squad

He was Spain's and the tournaments top goal scorer

4 of his 5 goals were against Tahiti though, the other against Nigeria. He did fook all when it mattered against Italy and Brazil. He's just an average striker nowadays with the occasional flashes of goodness.

Doesnt change the fact he scored the most goals. Next you will be saying Messi is no good because he scores most of his goals against inferior opposition.

No, but anyone who can't see the decline in Torres is blind. You know he scored ONE goal between December and the end of the season in the league, right? Some people are so desperate to see this once great player return to his best (after 3-4 years of mediocrity) they cling to anything they can. Every goal for Chelsea = HE'S BAAAAACK! ... followed by weeks of no goals.

I agree he will never be the player he was. Just the Torres bashing does get a bit boring, especially when he's just collected a Golden Boot in this tournament
