The Conservative Party

Gove keeps banging on about Corbyn, referencing forever what he considers his finest moment.
They are all just so transparent and dull.
He's the king of whataboutery.

My question to him would have been "As environmental secretary why arent you in lincolnshire coordinating action with the RAF who are singlehandedly stopping the flood situation from worsening as your department cut the local budget in flood defences. Rather than being on TV trying to sell yourself as being Statesmanlike?"

The towns affected are going to rats shit but as it's a place no where near southern enough it's being forgotten.

Strangely enough blueuntrue did tell me last week he lived in a bungalow, it now makes sense:-)

If you mean me have enough respect to get the name right. I have never lived in nor claimed to live in a bungalow. Though according to MB when not skiing in Zermatt I do live in a gilded palace as the recipient of £250k pa and catered 24/7 by Pret. Neither of you are near the mark.

For clarity I don’t think anyone actually believed you told me that you lived in a bungalow, haha you daft bugger.

You did tell me Pret was a favourite haunt of yours though, I remember that very clearly untrueblue

Never set foot in one in my life.

Well stop telling people you love the place then.

You can’t get the hump for being widely known as blueuntrue, tell everyone you adore pret then say you have never set foot in one.

Never been in a Starbucks either - nor a BK. I like a traditional and frugal life and am not a fan of fast foods.

Rory blew it. Kept looking at the floor/nodding off.

Did they
take his tie off him to stop him hanging himself?
yeah he did the presenter was useless let Gove go on longer that some others not letting Rory finish always picking up on Boris. Expect Boris and Gove to be final 2

You must try the paper straws in Maccy d’s, still have plastic tops though which confuses me somewhat.

Make my own burgers. Much healthier to shop for yourself and prepare your own meals - you know whats in there and by default there are far fewer nasties. My biggest fail is Yorkshire puddings - I am too scared to get the oil in the muffin trays smoking hot before putting the batter in......I end up making Yorkshire Pancakes lol

Stewart is planted in reality but to these over nostalgic lot that vote for the Tory Leader, ‘reality’ is thought of as ‘surrender’

Stewart was awful. His body language was pathetic and he is far too weak.
I can't see him running a cabinet meeting.

Yeah maybe but he seemed a bit naive about the tax question Sajid Javid put him right telling him some taxes can increase revenue! Like Rory but he will have a better chance next time as leader.

Is it about time we started paying politicians more to attract a better calibre of individual to enter politics? In line with CEOs of corporates. Just a suggestion. These people are running the country for fucks sake. Got to be better people out there.

I only watched the the first half an hour so can’t comment on the tax issue one way or the other in terms of his performance. But don’t we already have the lowest income tax or corp tax in the G20?

My understanding is the theory of tax is that is you have a low rate it encourages people to invest and gives people more money to spend. Which might work in the middle -east where there are very few public services and a small population but not sure about here?

Also we if we do lower it you might need it to but private healthcare, private Police/security and I wouldn’t be surprised if we went back to a pay-to-use fire service in our life time. Less tax, whilst I don’t like paying it, generally means less money for the public services once you go below a certain point?

Have you seen what is happening to British Industry and the High Street recently ??????? Fct is in a rising market its easy to make money - many many people are looked upon as "stars" because they make money when the going is good but can't cut it when it gets tough -- google Neil Woodford - the level of pay is not a great guide to ability
