This whole flag waving seems like the sort of thing “Steve” down the pub likes doing. But I don’t really want “Steve” running the country because he’s fairly shallow and binary in his views. It just a bit crass and, you know, “American”. Not the British way of doing things.

Boris has come across as a bit of a tit with this idea. I’m sure he thinks it’ll gee up the nation a little but meh it’s a bit too nationalistic for me. It won’t impact my life but I’ll still cringe at it.
