which was a majority. Cultural shift and feelings over facts has repercussions everywhere.the same fuelled Brexit
that'll win them over.It was mostly rhetorical question, but the obvious answer is because they uncaring parasites looking to appeal to the scumbags of our country.
Thatcher's speech at Runnymede when she spoke about Britain being swamped by immigrants from places like Pakistan coincided with the UK population declining due to emigration. Fears of immigration and feeling of being displaced, and "feeling a minority in your own country" aren't based on facts but sentiment.
that'll win them over.
bit late to that game. You can't win them over. You have to appeal to people who are in danger of sympathising this mindset before it becomes a concrete mentality. It's a poison that has to be marginalised.

I didn't say it was a foolproof trend, more emphasising that the shift creates repercussions on all sides and in the case of Brexit that was a majority whose feelings resonated with that point of view. Doesn't mean it translates, it just means it can be a powerful effect, as can the other way hence we're celebrating Pride month and there's a rainbow of balloons in my apartment block lobby as an archway. Its not worked in France though

Brexit wasn't just sentiment either, but the way these things have developed are strongly influenced and guided by sentiment. That’s not just sentiment though. Roy Jenkins' reforms that led to decriminalisation of homosexuality as part of the permissive society were based on the logic that it would reduce "evils" of blackmail and police corruption.
The chief architects and the main people that implemented Brexit used sentiment to manipulate people. The big plans won't materialise, there won't be a British renewal through neo-mercantilism.Brexit wasn't just sentiment either, but the way these things have developed are strongly influenced and guided by sentiment.
