In other news, the FT report that the proposed increase in pension age has been ‘put off’. I can only imagine the delight of the Mail, Telegraph and the other usual suspects shouting that from the hills. A triumph of Tory values, if you will. What they will likely fail to mention is that there has been a 2 year drop in life expectancy, meaning there are far fewer people getting pensions for a significant length of time.
