The Conservative Party

In other news, the FT report that the proposed increase in pension age has been ‘put off’. I can only imagine the delight of the Mail, Telegraph and the other usual suspects shouting that from the hills. A triumph of Tory values, if you will. What they will likely fail to mention is that there has been a 2 year drop in life expectancy, meaning there are far fewer people getting pensions for a significant length of time.

I also note that Sunak was claiming credit yesterday for inflation falling. Presumably, now he has accepted its government policy and not the war or covid he will be saying it’s down to him that it’s actually gone up again today? Or perhaps he won’t….
Nope.

It's being blamed on food prices and the London Mayor.

PMQ is a fucking disgrace. Subject; low prosecution rates for rape cases, cue smart Alec response from Sunac greeted by roars of laughter, cheering and jeering from his back benches.
Always has been and always will be.

It's like an extension of an Uxbridge debating club with the rules of a private schools that go with it.

Waste of money spending billions to fix Westminster when they could easily build or move to a more for for purpose modern venue and leave the palace as a major tourist trap.

They're dropping all unpopular policies in the run up to an election

May elections very soon . The fall out for the conservatives will be joyous and they may not survive the summer !

And food price rises are partly down to Brexit - fewer agricultural workers, less UK-produced food, and less being planted, pig farms closed because we lost EU vets in abattoirs, so demand with low supply pushes up prices, with more reliance on imports
