Isn't she the one who gave a TV interview telling people not do demand higher wages whilst sporting a Rolex worth about £10K - they are all just so out of touch. I remember IDS saying he had been made redundant once and knew what it was like - when in reality he was able to live rent free in in the gate house on the estate of his father in law - a Baron no less - whilst he was sorting himself a Tory seat out. I see it as a distraction - if we win then they don't want us to have an impromptu BH to celebrate an open topped bus parade as the economy is on a knife edge so shift it to the - as you say pointless - early opening of pubs and blame local Govt and the Police and Landlords for the lack of celebration
