Does it have to be restored to apply to stand again? I guess yes, as it would make logical sense.

If the party tries to distance itself from the last parliament, they might reassess that decision?

Stewart is unlikely to stand in this next GE anyway, unless he fancies 5 years of opposition. (In all likelihood)

I think it essentially suspends you from the party, so you can't stand as a candidate.

I think he's quite happy away from it all - he was in for 10 years, and probably has a better standard of life now!

Social media is very much a part of this issue but alas, it is sadly, it is also a part of society. I can understand Sunak wanting to keep Braverman on side for as long as he could. She is the chosen one of the right of the party. What benefit is there to backing Lee Anderson and keeping him as deputy chairman? He's an idiot and he has no chance of keeping his seat.
