They seem to think their 24 year devastation of the country has all been forgotten and forgiven.
 
The Conservative Party of today is unrecognisable as such. It's more like Reform-lite.
Of course, they threw out all the sensible people over Brexit and kept the nutters and delusionists.
It's like a major football club throwing out their top players and keeping their stiffs, deadwood and a few signings from Southport Reserves.

Badenoch's been defending his nonsense about Muslims in Trafalgar Square by complaining they segregated women...

So they're against Jews segregating women in worship...

And it's let Farage dig the hole deeper. "Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has called for all mass religious observances to be banned following objections to a Ramadan event in London's Trafalgar Square." So that's the Christian service on Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph out.

Thankfully we can still have our Easter and Christmas services at least for now, but farage must be upset at hearing Silent Night as it refers to a carpenter's son being born out of wedlock to people from the middle east.

This is a very well thought out and written article about the consequences of the outrage that Nick Timothy's comments have caused. I mean if you want to ban all public expressions of a religious tone then what about funerals? A Christian burial? Yes you can have a service in church but the interment takes place normally with a clergy man or woman doing the honours. Thats a public display of religion so could eventually fall under the same ruling. An ignorant thoughtless chasing of the racist Neanderthal vote is dangerous

It's got worse with Nick Timothy apparently writing in the Telegraph that Islamic prayer was a repudiation of other faiths. Newsnight had a Christian bishop on whose parents were both of other faiths and simply said the Muslims can say that there is one God and his name is Allah, but as a Christian he can quote Jesus as saying "No one comes to Father except through me". They can't both be right, but both are free to say it.

This is just further evidence of the renastification of the Tory Party, with the new danger of adding to the open racism and intolerance that Brexit released and Farage has monetised.

The only thing that is important for our energy security on this windy island, replete with the means to do so, is that we break this preposterous and wholly unnecessary addiction to and dependance upon fossil fuels.

With impeccable timing, she’s banging on, this very morning, about reducing energy bills by getting rid of VAT on energy bills. This will be funded scraping green levies and ‘a number of renewable energy schemes’. As oil prices spiral, as the PM is, reportedly, about to have talks with energy companies about some form of rationing, due to petrol and jet fuel running out, she proves, yet again, she’s got her finger on the pulse of the country…

You're missing the point.
She's talking out of her arse, but those who support her or her party, or who simply dislike Labour, only hear "getting rid of VAT" and "scrap green levies". That's it. They don't consider the knock on effect or anything else affecting energy prices. Headline comment only, the analysis is never considered. - See Brexit and most shite from Trump.

Meanwhile.

From 2010-2024, the previous Conservative government handed out hundreds of new North Sea oil and gas licences across seven licensing rounds, which will lead to just 20 new and re-licenced fields.

These 20 developments have the potential to produce – in total, over their lifetime – less than six months of UK gas demand and less than eight months of oil.

To date, they have produced the equivalent of just 36 days of extra gas. They have also produced just over two months (64 days) of oil, however, most UK oil is exported.

So that’s ok then…

Let’s hope Bad Enoch and Farago are quoted this in the coming days, weeks and months.
