The Conservative Party

Good to see that there are decent people in the Commons and there are many more like him who are rightfully angry where the RW elements of their party have took them.
You have to remember that Truss herself is not RW and Boris isn't even RW. The problem is the party leaders have been opportunists who don't stand a chance without the fringe support.

It destroyed Theresa May and now Truss is going the same way. It's her own fault really because she only got through the parliamentary party rounds because she was willing to appease these loonies. Boris successfully contained them but that's because he was a liar who had zero principles except how to work himself into the highest of places.

What has taken hold of the Tory party is a mismatch of bullies and yesmen/women who will seemingly do anything and everything to cling onto their jobs. This results in prats like Jacob Reese-Mogg still wielding power. Centrists like Truss and Hunt would never usually take on these people but they have to and it doesn't work.

If you go back, there's also people like Rory Stewart, Anna Soubry, Ken Clarke.... They were all forced out by this mob as well.

It's time for an election and the best that can happen is the vast majority of these morons get a taste of their own medicine and they lose their seats.

Guru-Murthy should be fired for that - inexcusable using language like in a professional environment that regardless of what he thinks about Steve Baker.

Totally agree, mate, and that’s why I said ‘elements’. From my perspective, what we are finally seeing is where the rich have been trying to take us. Money has infiltrated our country and those that want to see it fall, such as the neolib, despots, etc, have been swiftly playing their hands. If the public didn’t notice, then they’re in and if the public did, it would be just a case of the chaos bringing the same outcome, being able to step-in and cause further turmoil.

Either way, we are fucked for a long time now while those at the top take us further for mugs.

Charles Walker is a rather likeable chap, milk bottles aside, and I for one will be sad when he steps down at the next election. I’ve enjoyed listening to his speeches, but you can sense that he’s just sick of it all now.
