The Conservative Party

So GE on the cards. 160k Tory nutters elect Johnson as PM. 40 Tory MPs - the few with any honesty and principle - decide to give up the Tory whip. Some because they're not standing again, some because they think they'd have a better chance as an independent candidate than as a Tory (unlikely as they'd split the vote). All the ministers who resigned under Johnson will have their feet to the fire if they support him.

And this will be in the public forum all the time
There was one yesterday, sorry can't remember who it was, said if Bojo becomes PM again, he's walking right over to the Labour benches.

The 100 MP requirement feels like it's just enough for the party to fracture along the lines we know exist - the right wing nutters, the Johnson supporters and everyone else - the remnants of the old party, one nation conservatives etc.

We'll get Braverman/Mourdant vs. Johnson vs. Sunak and they'll tear each apart hopefully.
None of those names inspire you with a whole lot of confidence, do they?
The Tories at this time all have the feel of cardboard cutouts rather than politicians capable of running a government.

Will of the British people... drone drone... waffle, waffle... Bone, Rees-Mogg, Gove, Patel, Javid, Shapps, Mordaunt, Sunak, Duncan-Smith, Raab, Jenrick, Benton, Braverman, Leigh, Chope, Daly, Coffey, Hunt, Cleverly, Kwarteng, Dorres... kick the lot of them out!

Exactly. The US have not had any issues in recent times with a leader with credibility issues who the rest of the world mocked have they?

Too bad the Republicans copied off Truss’ economic plan(or did she copy the Republicans?)so we will be joining you.

I stress again - across the world they point and laugh at us thanks to this Govt and its actions

“Are you talking about us and them”

Indeed, we are a shit show right this second but their President need to be in a nursing home.

I know you guys are in hell but please save a seat for the rest of us.

It was more the timing of it more than anything and how sudden and significant her changes were.

Sunak, who had been our chancellor for the last 2 years, stood on his podium during the leadership debate and stated that if she did it, the Pound would collapse, interest rates would sky rocket and she’d fuck everyone’s mortgages.

They all ignored him and went with her anyway.
