Nothing seems to sink this Goverment but I can't help feeling we are now in the end game. The current wave of industrial action reminds me of the dog days of the Edward Heath era. The situation has become untenable. The Government has lost control of the country. They have a significant majority but surely even the blindest of Tory MPs must see the game is up. They can't all use the Matt Hancock escape route.
There has got to be a General Election. It is the only way to restore credibility. The damage to the Conservatives will be worse if they just limp on. They could be wiped out like they have in Scotland. Damage limitation would be a better option. The country is such a basket-case there is no guarantee a Labour government could sort the problems, at least in the medium-term.

The Gove stuff has been knocking about for a while and let’s hope it is another torpedo to the Tory Turpitz.

No person or organisation nominated by a member of a party other than the Tories succeeded getting into the PPE fast lane - wonder why?

just look at the background of the guy Gove helped to understand the old boy game.

He is a Tory party downer and a well-known figure in political circles. He donated to Goves failed leadership bid in 2016. The Conservative government has appointed him to official posts in the past, and he has been a trustee of the rightwing thinktank Policy Exchange.

He was appointed as a non-executive board member of the education department when Gove was education secretary but had to resign in 2018 due to accusations of sexual harassment.

He is a full member of the nasty party golf club. Another **** amongst cunts
