The Conservative Party

Tory remain MP's are falling one by one.

I would guess that constituency's have told them all they are out.

News reporting 50 now gone .... in addition to the 11 who've had the whip withdrawn (10 have gone back into coven ) .... only 6 weeks to appoint new candidates and for them to convince the electorate they are the right people for the job

You miss my point perhaps. It's still just 1 year's growth lost.

Financially it's just the same as if the UK economy didn't grow in 2018, instead of growing as it did by £70bn. Had that happened, we'd be £70bn down on where we would have been, every year for the next 10 years.

I.e. exactly same thing as your £70bn down every year.

If you told people it would be just like if we'd lost 1 year's growth, I think a lot would say "is that all"???" and that that's a price worth paying. And BTW, growth last year was weak. £70bn lost is much less than 1 year's growth in a good year.

So why hasn't Johnson confirmed thats the price of his WA and stated its chickenfeed or if its wrong why not expose his own impact statement to show its even less - and whilst he is at it he can explain why nobody on the Leave side said we were going for a £minus outcome but told us untruths and promises ( which continue to be told ) of a £plus outcome?

I dunno - you'd have to ask him.

My guess is that small though the £70bn a year is, it's still a big enough number than opponents can use to throw mud. So better to say nothing rather than to give it more prominence. As to the "promises" of a £plus income, I think you've imagined those.

I am not sure if any heard this today but good interview with author of a new book on Theresa May’s time at number 10. He gave a pretty ruthless account of her putting the blame of where we are now in Brexit at her door. I have to agree with what he said in that her biggest error ignoring her chancellor, opposition leaders and frankly anyone else. Her decision to go tribal with the was critical in not only creating a divided party and nation. She could have faced down the hard right wing of her party and gone to try and build a cross party consensus early on not like she attempted to in January 2019.

Things could have been a whole lot different now had she governed for the greater good of the people instead of the putting party interests above what is best for the country. But it didn’t happen and now we a divided nation and a divided tory party. The latter doesn’t bother me but you just wonder during that time on Downing Street steps with those crocodile tears she became to realise how badly she fucked things up.

ha ha ha ha - nah mate leavers are wishing many of us hadn't heard the promises of increased prosperity that Brexit will bring.........unfortunately not only did we hear it we saw it too - and if it looks like bullshit then it probably is bullshit.

19 of the 50 are from Labour.

3 Lib Dems, 2 from Change.

Its important not to try and make this out as a Tory defection and compared to many Parliaments of the past, the numbers are fairly low.

What does it take to be a Tory?
Take this apparently innocuous tweet:
" Tonight's Leaders Debate has shown very clearly the only way to get Brexit done and move our country forward is to back Boris Johnson and the Conservatives".
Fair enough you might think from some Tory lackey, but hang on this statement was tweeted by none other than the previous PM - Theresa 'Mavis' May.
Now Mavis was of course let down by Bojo, so this tweet could be taken as an example of selfless principled support for her party.
Except that Johnson's Brexit is conditional on there being an economic border between NI and GB and Mavis ( when she was PM) described this as something a British Prime Minister could never agree to.
Yet here she is now agreeing with that very 'something'.
That is what it takes to be a Tory.

Surprised its took you so long to realise this, a true tory is all about looking after number one and fuck everybody else. Loyalty is a dirty word, greed is good and crapping on people from time to time is all part of the game, juts don't get to beat down about it.

Utter shit - I am a true Tory and I look after many people and care about everyone. It did proven conservatives give more to charity than socialists.

It's that fucking annoying trait of the needy, selfish, grabbing and often offensive and totally thick Labour twats again, seeking to take more of other peoples' money off them for themselves, and then having the downright fucking cheek to try to claim the moral high ground about it. Hypocritical cunts, the lots of them.

Usual suspects will doubtless take offence. Good.

I take that with a large sense of hypocrisy just like the god botherers who vote tory how else could you be a good Christian/ Samaritan and vote a party that has through its policies

- Put 1.5 million people using food banks (65 million parcels in the last 5 years)
- Seeing people die through benefits cuts and suspensions
- See the light touch regulation that has seen millions of people on zero hour contracts Ken Loach puts it perfectly

Worsley sorry to disappoint you but giving to a charity doesn't make you less of a **** voting tory. The fact that more tories give to charity just proves my point (thanks for that) because these hypocrits think that it exonerates them from putting them into power by doing there bit for charity

So what you're saying is being a Tory means having no integrity.

I think that is largely true of the current crop. Those with integrity have stuck to their principles and left the party.

Try calming down and reading back some of your posts.

If you think that this sort of post of which there are many does you any credit you need help.

Frankly mate, when I hear people on your side calling all Tories cunts, day in day out, it's reached a point where I really don't give a shit what any of those wankers think.

So, everyone who votes Conservative is a ****.
I have a sneaking feeling you'll be enduring a few more cunts on Friday the 13th.
And hopefully, we won't have to listen to any **** calling us cunts for some time to come, if you insist on trying to foist Marxist cunts
upon us. No doubt it will be the lumpen proletariat cunts who will contribute to the demise of your chosen ****,
mainly because, they've experienced cunts like this in the past.
They didn't vote for those cunts either.

Being thick skinned its part of the territory but my point was why bother with the hypocrisy of donating to charity? Its a bit like Mike Ashley and Jeff Bezos donating to a food banks and then bragging about the fact that they have.

Really? So you'd disapprove of the Giving Pledge? Billionaires donating 50%+ of their money to charitable causes? Just take their cash off them in the first place eh comrade. If they've anything left to give, we didn't take enough.
