The Conservative Party

Being able to run in an election is a keystone of democracy. Being able to run under the banner of a specific political party isn't, and never has been. No one is stopping Jeremy Corbyn from standing for election.
Starmer and the NEC have over ridden the democratic rights of Islington North CLP to choose their own candidate.

I’m enjoying reading the Starmer discussion in the Tory thread mate. Pretty appropriate really.

@BlueHammer85 wins my favourite voting intention of (and I paraphrase here slightly) “I’m voting Starmer because I hope he’s lying…” haha, what the actual fuck.

You could have paraphrased slightly better

''I'm voting Starmer because he's the man to trounce the Tories ''

Oh… forgive me, I thought the hope he would travel left after winning an election was a belief he would lie to the electorate just to get elected. Silly me. Although I’m not sure “I’m voting for Starmer because he’s not the other guy.” is much better ;)

Does anyone want to say “I’m voting Starmer because he’s got all the big ideas, his policies really resonate with me, and they form the bedrock of what this country needs to get it back on track”?

whether he will or wont is to be seen

what we know is the current Tories are taking the party even further to the right and they have failed us after 13 years of charge

Labour is the only realistic alternative

You really see how it works now. Who would save the country from suffering this excruciating fate, and who would move to start the whole silly game up again.

Who needs policies when you can have missions! Reeves said recently something about achieving growth so we will 'feel' better off. Just vibes.
To be fair to young Wesley he's put more meat on the bones regarding NHS reforms. I wonder if anyone would like to give them an endorsement and join the likes of Kate Andrews and JRM?
