I watched the new MP doing a 'stop and chat' thing and a lot of people did the 'sorry, busy' shuffle. It's politics. Bores the pants off people. Everyone wants this government out but the replacement options seem just as bad.

Sky had the Party Chair on this morning and he just blurbed on about how well they have done on the economy, with the pandemic and Ukraine mentioned at every shot. When asked why he was trying to use this angle following the news of a recession, he just blurbed on again, giving another 2 minutes of drivel.

The truth is, people don’t really give a fuck about the economy, they care about how much they have to spend, and most are at a point where they can clearly see how much they are being stretched, if not broken.

The Tories have failed because they haven’t taken the people that they are supposed to support into account. They have looked after themselves and big business, diminishing anything and everything that the average person wants or needs.

The way the RW media were giving the Tories a chance following Labours poor week, I was starting to think that they had a chance. Nice to see the people that they have betrayed put that to bed.
