The Conservative Party

Tories spewing out the line that Tory voters rebelled and stayed at home instead of voting!

Really, what makes them think that it wasn't more non-Tory voters couldn't be arsed to vote this time?

It’s bad for them no doubt, but come the general election I think the Reform vote will collapse and fold back into the Tories, so they won’t do quite as badly as it looks for them right now.

They’ll still lose of course.

Sadly I think you are right, and the media are already in full attack mode on Labour, but this is the most unpopular government I can remember in my 55 years on this earth.

Labour have had a shit week but it happens.

Sadly there’s still a few unhinged nutters among the ranks despite Starmer doing his best to flush them out.

In a way its been a useful exercise in helping to flush out more of the problem. The Rochdale candidate will likely win but then get deselected so will only serve as an MP for a few months.

A total disaster for him. A good warning to all others and a reminder to the grassroots they need to be vigilant and get on top of these issues before the press release them at the worst possible time.

As a green voter these results are very depressing. The reform votes are complicating things for both Labour and especially the Tories.

Not sure what the point of the lib dems are anymore. In the current climate with this govt and post brexit they can't seen to pick up protest votes.

Are you not somewhat pleased that the tories are being humbled?

As always with politics you won't ever get exactly what you want but you must recognise a step in the right direction.
