There are far worse out there than May. She was the last statesperson PM.

She was nowhere near perfect, but she had a sense of decorum, at least.

She wasn't great and I wouldn't have voted for her but if she'd had a decent majority to work with and wasn't hamstrung by the ERG, we'd be in a better place and we might not have had to suffer from Johnsom Truss and Sunak.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I see it too with America with how old Republicans like Bush are given a makeover. These people are not and were never good people. Maybe decent Tories but that is still a very low bar.

I agree. You can’t complain that politicians are unaccountable charlatans then when it comes time to hold ALL politicians accountable you put on your rosy tinted glasses. This is why characters like Johnson,Truss, and soon Sunak have no shame cause liberals put decorum over accountability.

I don’t care if a person appears to be a nice guy/gal or “they seem decent”. No one deserves a free pass.
