If they wonder WHY they are going to lose.........
I get what you are saying but I am genuinely shocked that we have got to the point where the Leader of this country can suggest something like this. Its another frothing at the mouth grab to the gammon/older voter/ red meat brigade which is meant to be an announcement but not a practise. With a court system having backlogs of months for serious actual crimes and prisons overflowing and being declare unfit for habitation - with a legal system freeing actual real criminals early the idea that a story of a homeless former soldier getting arrested on the streets for the "crime" of sleeping rough would ever be a vote winner is for the birds - its just there to make it look like he is dealing with the "peoples issues"
Every day and everything he does is more desperate and fails - why he doesn't call an election is beyond me. Once out of politics many of his brighter stars will struggle to get meaningful employment in my opinion.
He nicked Rudi Gullianis idea. So you know it’s a bad fn idea.Multi-millionaire Sunak wants to make homelessness a crime.
How in Gods name can homelessness be a crime?
What next from these appalling people - 6 months in prison if you get cancer? A years hard labour if you have a heart attack?
I have an incredibly low opinion of Tories but even I didn’t believe they could be so inhuman.
It seems it is true, being reported in The Times.
Rishi Sunak faces revolt over plan to criminalise homelessness
Dozens of Tory MPs on the party’s left and right are prepared to challenge proposals in the Criminal Justice Bill to move on, fine or jail rough sleeperswww.thetimes.co.uk
