The Conservative Party

What's the point of defence spending if its not for supporting Ukraine. Most of our peace time defence budget is just lost to wages for zero return. Or equipment that never sees conflict. The Ukraine conflict is far better value for money.
It shouldn't come at the expense of our own capability though. I've read today that we're sending our last artillery to Ukraine soon so essentially the UK will be left with zero artillery capability. Add in the one posted today where we've reduced our heavy lift capability which would be extremely important in any future conflict.

Let's face it Ukraine is not going to win the war with Russia, the end result will probably be some long stalemate followed by a negotiation where Ukraine cedes some territory. None of us like or want this but that's the reality of what Putin is bringing upon Ukraine and Russia is gearing to sustain that war.

It is however for the Ukraine government to draw a line in the sand on that so do we otherwise just keep arming them in the meantime? If yes then let's hope that bet pays off but if not then surely total war is the only other option so don't we need to be capable of defending ourselves?

And they wonder why they can't recruit.

"We got fucked in the locals. We need stories to send to Laura to distract."

"Her Starmer critique has gone viral"

"Not for the right reasons"

"Rwanda?"

"People aren't listening anymore."

"How about releasing the Chinese have hacked the MOD?"

"Brilliant. Get leaking it to our regulars and Grant will make a speech in parliament about it."

"Oh...Seems we might get a kicking for outsourcing where the leak came from."

"No one will notice as the usual suspects will drown that out. Trust me."

It’s not charity you know Ukraine will have to pay back over a long HP plan while we get rid of old stock.
Our military gain very useful experience in training soldiers in the art of warfare, it’s got nothing to do with whether Ukraine win or lose, it’s about helping a neighbouring country.

Yep.

Wasn't it Putin aiding Corbyn at the last one?

As he's busy, better find another enemy.
