I see the Tories are nationalising Northern Rail.
I wonder how many other socialist Labour policies they're going to copy?
The Tories could wipe Labour out for good if they move left on some popular economic policies associated with Labour.
You could even make a Toryesque, low-tax argument for a lot of the nationalisation proposals too if it ends up saying taxpayers money by reducing the money the taxpayer must pay to prop up a lot of these corporate service providers when they fail to reinvest their profits.
Obviously the Tories aren't that sympathetic to these arguments (and arguably exist as a corporate instrument first and foremost) but the public often are, leaving an area the Labour Party could exploit if they were willing to leave all the other baggage at the door.
