The Conservative Party

Do you actually think that nothing will change until the date of the banning of these types of cars?

Johnson will be looking to be in power for the next ten years and well before the end of his second term in office the changeover will have to be underway. By say 2028 who will be buying a new petrol, diesel or hybrid car? How long do you think it will take car manufacturers to phase out production of these vehicles?
2028?
That's two lifetimes away in politics.
2028 will become 2033 or beyond.

It looks like your kneejerk reactions to anything the government announces has made you look even more ridiculous than usual.

15 years from now to the banning of these types of cars is an incredibly tight timeframe and so actions by manufacturers will have to begin immediately and in a few short years no-one will be buying a car that will only have scrap value not long after.

I'm unsure if 2035 to ban those new cars is merely ambitious, or actually 'courageous' in Yes Ministerspeak.

Where is the infrastructure to charge cars going to get funded from? Going to cost a few pennies.

We are going to find £106 billion overspend due to Conservative negligence to fund a railway line so I guess the magic money tree will blossom again

Private vehicles will be restricted to the elite. Everyone else will be herded onto public transport for their commute to work and back.

This looks like a murky story:

I wonder if there was any connection between the numerous government grants that went in to Norton, the numerous Tory minister name dropping and making appearances at the firm and the vocal pro brexit views of the owner. You also wonder if they knew of the allegations of pension fraud that seem to have been fairly persistent.

Not denying the impact.
Just lengthen your timescales and don't be so gullible and naive about cheap long term promises made by politicians.
HS2 anyone?

Tories warned repeatedly during the last 10 years by the Labour Party that changes to legislation had created a loophole allowing terrorists to be released after serving only half their sentence .... did nothing

Johnson announced after the last terrorist attack at Fishmongers Hall that there would be Legislation to tighten up on terrorists being released half way through their sentence........ did nothing.

Johnson announced yesterday after the attack in Streatham that there would be legislation to tighten up on terrorists being released half way through their sentence ...........

Theres a common thread here ..........

I wonder if they will use it as an excuse to get through legislation to allow the use of facial recognition cameras .... or put soldiers on the streets ... or am i being cynical
Anyone see the Priti Patel ' counter terrorist criminal' interview.
She only said it about ten times.
This lady is well in charge of her brief.
PS This early release of criminals nothing to do with the Tories of course, all down to the last Labour Government.
