The Conservative Party

So I take it you are busy this morning and that you would otherwise have been on to post the latest news articles that refer to emerging government policy.

Have a look around - there are plenty this morning - but here's one to give you a flavour:

Unlike you - I have taken time to read the article - so I can say with some confidence that this news echoes what a number of posters on here have been saying since the GE - that we can see Johnson taking action to cement his position with those 'traditional Labour voters (like myself) - and it therefore makes some of the bollocks you have been spouting appear to be just hollow bitterness

The lies they told you to get your vote whatever plus 1

And yet when Labour proposed a mansion tax and when Brown raided the pension funds the Tory media ( and I dare say you and @Chippy_boy ) were apoplectic with rage.
Funny how principles are so easily disposed off when it suits.

Certainly where there's plenty of fodder feed and a compliant media that's a possibility.
But far from a certainty if things go wrong for the Tories and Labour can get an act together under a new leader.
So this just emphasises what I have been suggesting for a while now

We do have posters hoping for things to go wrong for the UK

Well - you would be wrong - with regards to myself at least

But that is again totally missing the point.....

and a pretty poor attempt at distraction

The point is - what policies/ideas that @Ifwecouldjust......., yourself and other left-leaning posters would support - not what @Chippy_boy would support

So - answer simple and truthfully - would these not be the sorts of policies that @Ifwecouldjust....... , yourself and other left-leaning posters would support?

And - becuase of course the answer is YES!! - then that does indeed prove that what @Ifwecouldjust....... has been doom-mongering about has indeed just been bollocks - and that the predictions made by myself and other have been accurate

Inconvenient facts - what are they like.....

Except I didn't say that did I?
Speculating about what might happen IF things go wrong is NOT the same as 'hoping for things to go wrong'.
So stop being sillier than you already are and try to post with a measure of common sense.

So I will answer simply and truthfully.
In principle I would support a mansion tax if introduced by the Tories ( some exemptions could be important like Granny on a state pension living in her house in London which she bought for 2s/6d in the fifties but which is now worth 2M).
I might support a 'raid on pension funds' but it depends on the details.

Pension reform
No 40% relief.
Nearly everyone who gets 40% relief only ever pay 20% when they draw the pension.
