The parallels with Trump are unmistakable.
The very people who facilitated and enabled a Facist Government in to power are now moaning about a Facist Government being in power.

So I will answer simply and truthfully.
In principle I would support a mansion tax if introduced by the Tories ( some exemptions could be important like Granny on a state pension living in her house in London which she bought for 2s/6d in the fifties but which is now worth 2M).
I might support a 'raid on pension funds' but it depends on the details.
Ah, envying the poor again.I couldn't.
Fucking idiotic proposals. We have a pension time-bomb ticking and should be encouraging everyone to do whatever they can to save for their pensions. Doubtless you didn't even know that the maximum tax free pensions contributions for the very rich is only £10k a year anyway. Not the £40k you and I can put in. We clobber the rich left right and centre in this country already. Enough is enough.
I am not a financial adviser. No idea where you got that from.Oh please !
I believe you are a Financial Adviser, in which case you will know very well that there many ways for the wealthy to avoid getting clobbered.
Probably.Budget rule number 3 - if you want to bring in somthing slightly unpopular, float somthing totally unacceptable and ditch it at the last moment. Your voting fodder in the commons will be so happy they will vote the slightly unpopular measure through.
Well, yes. There is that.Probably.
I am just interested/concerned in what the "slightly unpopular measure(s)" might be though.

But anyway, regards your comment, what on earth is the point of bringing in tax changes targeting the very rich, only to see them being avoided by such people and then only fall on those less rich who were not the intended targets and who are unable to avoid them? Daft idea.
That said, unlike other forms of taxation - on income, capital gain, profits etc - taxes on property are more difficult to avoid.
No apology needed but thank-you anyway.Apologies for my mistake regarding occupation.
As for the tax system I’m afraid your pals in the Tory party are largely responsible given they are usually the Government
