I think yesterdays events will have just stiffened Philip Rutman's resolve to have it all out at a tribunal - he will have known Alex Allan and won't be impressed with how his position was undermined by Johnson - its shit or bust now. Like it is for the rapist the hearing date will just get put back and back.

If the meetings were above board ... why didnt she tell people about them.

If the aid was for 'humanitarian reasons' .... why didnt she just say so from the outset.

Regardless of the reasons what is not up for debate is she broke ministerial code and then lied about it. She was correctly sacked for it.

Breaks ministerial code again, but the punishment is more lenient for a second offence.

Whenever I met Vlad the Impaler he was very courteous and never impaled anybody in my presence.

Sure, there may have been some accidental impalings, but nobody who was impaled gave Vlad any negative feedback.

I doubt it - the moment Allan resigned yesterday and the number 10 statement said that part of the reason Patel was let off was because nobody told her the effect she was having on people - Rutman issued a statement saying that was bollocks and that he had personally told her what effects she was having ....... I think he wants to stab her in the front instead of in the back like she did him.
