Far right group britain first have announced It's membership of around 7500 has dwindled down to about a third as nearly 5000 members have moved to the tory party, with most citing johnsons opinions on islam and the partys move to the right as reason.

I think they see a lot of Paul Golding and even Nick Griffin in the current leader of our country. They can't get enough of him.

More than 5,000 supporters of a far-right extremist group have joined the Conservative party in recent weeks, attracted by what they describe as Boris Johnson’s negative attitude towards Islam.

About two-thirds of the 7,500 signed-up members of the openly anti-Islam Britain First have joined the Tories since the general election, the group says.

Extremists joining a more moderate party as it’s the only chance for a smidging of their views to be in power isn’t something to jump around about.

It’s happened many times, including in the current opposition party.

There's a lot of Japanese tourists in the Lake District these days mate.
