It’s a favourite of the right wing.
simply agglomerate all opposing elements into one recognisable entity.
Those boats in the channel don’t have doctors, nurses, engineers, bus-drivers, or chefs in them - from disparate countries where they faced many different perils - it’s just a load of ‘illegal immigrants’, mostly murderers and rapists- an instantly recognisable entity.
As you say, ’project fear‘ was another one. ‘Militants’ is another to be applied to union leaders.
Their problem with ‘Anti- Growth Coalition’ is the sheer numbers involved. The awful truss woman actually listed some of them in her ‘speech’. The Labour Party, the Lib-Dems, theSNP, Plaid Cymru, and the trade unions. Large numbers of people.
Add up those numbers and you get, if not a majority- or very close, you certainly have a large proportion of the public opposed to this ludicrous policy, and certainly bigger numbers than put this pack of liars into power.

I’m not sure everyone wants growth, at least not in the rather simplistic way we measure growth via GDP.
For example, one way to rush for growth is to completely deregulate industry and allow it to do whatever it wants to achieve ‘growth’. As usual with this colour of government it benefits very few and disadvantages millions but it would undoubtedly lead to ‘growth’. Of course, government spending contributes massively to growth, which I think they’ve either never quite understood or are just opposed to on some sort of ideological grounds.

The real tragedy of the last 10 years though is the austerity of the Cameron and Osborne years, followed by more of the same via May, Johnson and now Truss.
People who allegedly want a ‘highly skilled workforce’ but won’t invest in schools and education.
People who want a home grown skilled workforce but place prohibitive capped numbers on nurse and doctor roles which mean we, the UK, are actively pursuing medics and nurses from UN designated ‘red list’ countries, which is shameful.
People who talk of a green agenda but refuse to spend the necessary amount to achieve anything close, whilst closing down gas storage and disinvesting in nuclear.
People who are more than happy to subsidise European train companies because they don’t believe in government owning them (well, one government anyway).
People whose first instinct is to think it’s ‘fair‘ to pay a millionaire thousands a year extra whilst denying key workers a decent pay rise. Turns out being clapped for doesn’t actually pay the bills….
People who think a windfall tax reduces competitiveness, in a world where your competitors are not only implimenting a windfall tax, but one where the companies you would be taking it off are advocating it as well!

What I genuinely hope and, as unlikely as I know it probably is, is that Labour, the SNP, the LD’s and the Greens get together and only stand where they’re either the incumbents or are second to the Tories and they wipe them out for once and for all. Then implement electoral reform and see them off for good.

Yes they can but another one would doubtless ensure the Party would be decimated at any GE.

The problem is they have been dealt 2 cards and refuse to twist and take another. They think the answer is to keep hold of the three of spades and the two of hearts and keep changing the card player - however the new incumbent still has the same two cards and try as you might counting means they don't add up to 21 so you can claim all the winnings

As well as all that the government, or should I say Braverman, wants to prevent immigrants from coming here if they are going to do low paid jobs, which means the crisis in social care, hospitality and agriculture is only going to get worse.
