Did my wife and I see you the other day (Monday) at that scone place in stow on wold? We were wearing city shirts. :)

I hope not. It's not really that sort of place. We're you not taken to one side and asked to adjust your attire? Normally members of the parish council monitor visitors for these sartorial faux pas and are likely to have a discrete word.

No but we were taken to one side by a fellow blue who spotted us and said weeeey heeey fookin citeh!! Get in!! Had a nice chat too.

Spent the bank holiday there. Monday was our last day and we were having some scones before heading straight to manchester for the Liverpool game to top off our holiday, hence our informal attire.

4 days in the cotswolds, 3.5 hrs drive to manchester, 3-1 win, then back to Dubai the next day. Brilliant..

Did you ask for a 'sconn' or did they try to force you to buy a scOne? Same thing happens once yer get off Moston Lane - bastards try to sell yer a barm when yer've asked for a muffin!

Been to Blenheim Palace today, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill to see how the other half live.

The only person I know that lives in a bigger house is Nimrod in Oz....:)

Does anyone recommend doing the Cotswolds without a car? I'm wondering if I head back home one day I'd like to do some trails there

Public transport is almost non-existent, but if you are fit enough , there are plenty of great walks and the Cotswold trail is about 100 miles long with plenty of stops at pubs and villages.
I would still recommend a car though as there are so many places to get around.
