the crack of the bone break

I was in the 3rd tier facing the tackle and I heard it and so did the lad next to me. I said instantly that he had just broke his leg, then others around said no he didn't because nobody reacted and the ref and linesman were less than 10ft away. Even more proof that it wasnt a bad challenge.

i was sat in east lv1, it happened right in front of us. heard the crack and straight away said to the misses that a broken leg.

Was probably the shinpad you heard.

I can't believe you'd hear the bone from level three. I certainly didn't hear anything other than 'well in Nige'.

Im in East level two and we heard it, the only reason i didnt think it was the sound of a broken leg was because fair play to Ben Arfa he was pretty man about it, didnt writhe around or start beating the floor, he just held his leg up and waved for the physio calm as fuck, wasnt even screaming, tough kid.

East L1 109 (other end from incident) never heard a thing - maybe because I was shouting well done Nige. Never occurred to me that it was a break until I saw the board and oxygen coming on to carry him off. He will be OK to play again.

At the time, i thought it was a shinpad-on-shinpad sound, only for the guy next to me to say "i hope it's not his leg." At first, he said this in a jokey way, as we genuinely didn't think he'd broken his leg. As the poster above said, he wasn't displaying any wild signs of agony. But now knowing that it was his leg makes remembering that sound very distressing. Horrific sound.

I remember when I broke my tib and fib I heard the two breaks and one of the lads on the halfway line said he heard it and thought it was shinpad. But there was no impact of legs on mine so it was my leg breaking. I had to tell the hospital I'd heard 2 breaks for them to find the second break as it was just below my knee whereas the other was in my ankle.
