The Daddy of all "Typical City" moments is coming up

Didnt it already happen when we went out the fa cup at first attempt after winning it? I would say thats about as "typical city" as you can get!

Please point out the "having a laugh" part of the post above yours.

I would've thought the thread title might have given a bit of a hint as to the op's intentions.

So you think that the original post on page 1 is what was being replied to in a quoted post on page 9?

Interesting theory

i know your a mod and it can be a bit stressful on here cleaning threads etc, but i think you need to chill a bit and let people have there say mate whatever it is,not only this thread but others, thats the whole point init? i hope "modding" hasent gone to your head

I'm pretty sure this thread was meant to be a bit of a piss take at our dreadful past and how good things are looking for us at the moment.

Typical City for me is Robbie Fowler missing the penalty that would take us into Europe or Stuart Pearce (after speaking with Dave Beasant) missing his penalty in his final game needing to score it to have 100 career league goals.

I think all Dave is trying to say is that we're top of the league, it's in our own hands to win it and we've not had that 'Typical City' moment as of yet.

I don't get why so many people take it so seriously all the time.

City-itis is dead and buried. Time of death? FA Cup Semi-final vs United. Not so much a case of 'Yay, we beat the rags', more a case of 'Your are now in our way. Move! No? Then I will have to remove you'.

Going out of the CL, losing to Utd in the FA Cup 3rd round, drawing with Brom, and losing to Sunderland were not 'typical City'. Not at all. They were the symptoms of being league leaders who everyone wants to beat by any means necessary. Symptoms of a huge jump in the class of opponent we face on a Weds night. Of the Champions' fear of being usurped. All par for the course.

Since we beat United at Wembley we have never looked back. FA Cup winners, 3rd place finish, Champions League, League leaders since Autumn 2011.

As I say, City-itis has left the building. For good.

typical city and the mandatory grey hair was order of day in days gone back. the stresses and strains were too much for some, but as we always believed in our darkest hour. There is a light at end of the tunnel, but that light is now shining directly in our faces and can scream that imormtal phrase. "We Are Back!!!!"

Where exactly am I not letting people have their say? Is it in all of those threads on the board where people are slagging me off? Of I wasn't letting people have their say, how are you able to post in this thread?

You didn't think that one through did you?

One thing you can't accuse Damocles of is not letting people have their say. He is by far the least likely mod to lock a thread, delete posts, give you a warning. Damocles will shout you down, call you an idiot, moron etc. but he won't censor you.
