The David Silva Stand?

I don't think he should be lofted above the likes of Vinnie or Zaba 2bh.

For me, if we want to do something different, start a "Silva Scholarship" fund in partnership with CITC, that provides funding for children of disadvantaged upbringings or with disabilities in Manchester and also supports Children's wards in the city. It could also provide access to sporting facilities and opportunities for said children as well. That way we do something that's pertinent to his experiences and provides him with a legacy.

The guy on the left has always been my all time hero, but god they come close.
 
I have a feeling when Sergio eventually leaves us the family stand will be renamed the Sergio aguero stand for obvious reasons so I doubt we would name a stand after David.
 
Not for me. Once you do that for one player it then suggests those that follow or preceded him were not revered similarly if they did not have a stand named after them.

Great player, who will go up with the greats of Docherty, Swift, Woosnam, Trautmann, Doyle, Bell, Lee, Aguero, Kompany etc, but not above them.

and its gonna be my stand,south stand,my level and even my block if needs be 318.
 
Can't see how you can, when Vinnie, Zabba or Kun (even though he's still with us) haven't had that honour. Dave certainly merits a stand. But so did the others.

Absolutely.

It’s right that Colin Bell has a stand named after him. Our best player in our most successful era at the time.

David Silva has been the best player in our most successful era ever.

Other great players have rightly been remembered in different ways.

But a mosaic and a training pitch it nowhere near enough for Silva. A stand is the only tribute that would suffice.
 
FWIW I thought of this

Colin Bell has his stand (West), so I'd mirror that and give Dave the East.

I'd put a statue of Sergio celebrating his QPR goal and Vinny celebrating his Leicester goal outside the North stand where they were scored (or you could pick Kompany's 2012 header v United which was South Stand).

That way the two widely considered our greatest players get the same honour and two of our most impactful and important goals scored at the Etihad get the same honour as well. And of course the standard Mosaic and training pitch too for all
 
Not for me, love the guy but if we were gonna name a stand after anyone, I'd like it to be Aguero and the end (North Stand) that he scored at against QPR to remember arguably the greatest moment in league history plus our record goalscorer.
