Drink driving and drunk driving are very different. Do not conflate the two.

I drink drive by the way, just to make it clear, but never drunk. I'll drive after two pints quite happily.

Sadly, I looked at bluemoon whilst waiting for a phone call and surprisingly got a load of abuse for posting my thoughts on drunk driving.

To be fair you really ripped into the lad.
Nobody should ever drive pissed and anyone who does is a fcking idiot.
We all support the same team don't we??? Sometimes I wonder!

Hoist by my own petard, almost. I admit to the punctuation error early in the sentence but I assume, from your comment, your grammatical knowledge extends to the use of the run-on sentence? Compared to the illiterate nonsense that gets posted on here day after day, it was a minor offense (sic).

Yes, I'm also aware it's considered a grammatical error, even though it's used in literature or rhetorically.

I wouldn't consider your post to be a run-on as it contains conjunctions. YOMV.

One would hope that wasn't a direct quote from Wikipedia. Please let's not reduce ourselves to using acronyms too. I thought for a moment there may have been an opportunity for some intelligent debate.

No, and to be frank, this is Bluemoon, a football forum open to all not just those who consider education to be evidence of intelligence. I would rather read a poorly worded post packed with information and enthusiasm than a well-crafted paragraph of abuse.
I hate the grammar police, I hate the oneupmanship of it all, and I'll leave it there.
