The Death of Mary Ds....

The Townley or Cornershop are probably the best of the worst.

Mary D's is shite and always has been, beer is horrible and overpriced, a cheesy DJ on that plays the same song over 10 times and interupts it several times whilst your trying to listen to it.

Id prefer to have a chat with my mates and not get bumped into every 5 seconds knocking my pint of froth all over myself. And to top it off the owner is red!

-- Mon Oct 25, 2010 8:22 pm --

The Townley or Cornershop are probably the best of the worst.

Moving this on a related tangent - which of the old Maine Road drinkeries would you like to replicate now?

The Beehive, Parkside, Claremont?

The Gardeners by a country mile. I never thought i'd miss that shithole like i do. Some good days/nights/lock-ins in there over the years.

I always thought that Mary D's was the place where stewards and BM mods met up?

No, not in the slightest and I apologise for not knowing and only guessing the weight of a decent 4x4, what you do have on your board though is an anti drink driving member. Is that such a bad thing?

ps do you really think that's how you spell doesn't?

nothing wrong with an anti drink drive member on the board, but aim your bile at a drunken driver who you know is or has driven over the limit

Bile? I'm not sure you even know the meaning of that word. I asked a question and don't think I spouted any bile at anyone, if you come back with the same old tired joke comment that all drink drivers do rather than simply answer the question what is one supposed to assume? As I said if you've never driven away from a game with a few pints inside you, I apologise. If you have done then only you know and judging by your previous posts you're not about to confess to us all.

The British Legion over towards Whitworth Park, white building no longer there now :-(

dont the DVLA have a forum for you to play on, this is about pubs around the grounds not who you suspect of dd or smoking pot or what ever else you have a grump with

Your assumption is that anyone who drives him and his mates to the pub is a drink driver

my assumption is that marco could drink x number of pints of watery piss served up from mary d's as lager and still be OK to drive

however neither of us has a clue if marco even drinks alcohol
