The Death of Mary Ds....

drink and drive!

yeh all the time mate, but the trouble is i tend to spill it when going round corners it really pisses me off

That's usually the 'funny' response when challenging drink drivers, I'm sorry if my question didn't suggest you should've given a serious answer. I hope I'm not walking down Grey Mare Lane next time you're leaving the pub in your 4x4 after consuming £40 worth of alcohol between you and your friends. Still, I suppose you're actually a better driver after 'a couple of pints'?

If you could put the bogs from Mary D's in The Eastlands that'd improve it...far too small.
The DJ won't shut up either in there...Apart from that- it's the best of a bad bunch.
Problem is it isn't an established area like Moss Side was...The area was cleared in the 70's and 80's after the major industry went...There just aren't enough houses in the area to sustain the amount of good pubs needed on match days compared to through the week.
On another note- anyone know what's happening to Beswick precinct?..seem to have been doing that up for three years.........

Why assume that there isn't a DD among the 4?
Given the cost of soft drinks a £40 spend is quite possible.

£40 take away £8 parking = £32 divided by 4 = £8 per person, after a hot dog that leaves £5 so i can get pissed off my tree and drive down GML

Went to Mary D's a few times years ago.

The novelty wore off pretty quick tbh, but each to their own.

Used to love it, now bored shitless of the place. I try just stay in town now, or if my mates insist on going i used to nip over to The Manchester alone rather than go there.

Never been to The Eastlands, will give a go sometime soon.

Sorry if I touched a nerve, I only asked the question and your response was the same you always get from drink drivers. You have my sincerest apologies if I've misjudged you but if you do get behind the wheel of your two tonne hunk of metal after a game and a few pints then I stand by my post. Only you know the answer to that question, and your three mates of course!

Was Eastlands Bar formerly The Victoria? I haven't been in The Crossroads / Manchester for a while. What's the craic like now?
